This is the story of Rich and Lori Curtis, and their journey through the process of converting the Boston Hardware and Lumber Company Building, a beautiful 100 year old structure in downtown Boston, Georgia, into The Boardwalk, an art studio, gallery and event space.

Lori Curtis is a native of Florence, Alabama. She has over twenty-five years of gallery and museum administration experience. She was manager of Milner-Hackworth Gallery, and owner of Lori Davis Gallery, in Florence. She was also Events Coordinator at Tennessee Valley Museum of Art before relocating with her husband, Rich, to Thomasville in January, 2011. Lori is also an artist. Her favorite medium is acrylic paint.

Rich Curtis was born and raised in Alabama. He received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute in 2004. He has exhibited, lectured and performed nationally and abroad. He is currently Assistant Professor of Art at Thomas University. Rich works in a variety of media, from drawing and painting to assemblage, as well as experimenting with performance and sound-based artwork.
