Here are some images of the mosaic designed for the fireplace to accentuate the wall collage. Salvaged glass, ceramic tiles, metal and stones were used. Half way through the process, the mortar/grout mix was peeling away from the plaster coating. Chunks of mosaic had to be removed in order to treat the surface. Hopefully it will adhere properly now and last for a long time to come.
We are offering Drop-In Drawing Classes for $10 every Thursday evening, 6-7:30pm. We set up a still life and got out all of our drawing materials. Should be a fun class!
